HEALTHWISE brings current topics that promote healthy living and social awareness for today’s health and wellness issues.

Most of the show’s guests are medical practitioners or experts in their specialties, thus giving the audience pertinent information about new technologies or services that are now available in the country, and more specifically in Cebu. The discussions in the show are casual and very understandable to the public due to the diagrams and explanations of medical terms and concepts. Relevant information that is not readily available to the general public are provided by the show in a friendly and cozy atmosphere.

It has a very loyal audience in the A,B,C market who are health-conscious, intelligent, and more mature. The show has a strong following among women, who are the main purchaser of their households. Furthermore, we have many viewers who are at the top of their fields, or who are managing businesses, thus they are also the ones who are making major decisions in their corporations or organizations. Lately, the show has reached younger up-and-coming audience who are also very highly influenced by advertising.

The show´s host, Mayen Angbetic-Tan, is a media stalwart in Cebu. She is the Lifestyle Editor of Freeman and is currently very active with the Dept of Tourism. She can be seen in most media functions and is known in the social and business circles in Cebu. She brings her vibrant personality to the show by making the guest feel at ease and also by following a general outline to bring out the interesting and important information to the audience. She brings credibility to the show, because of her age and her credentials, and so far she is the only host that targets a more mature audience in RCTV.
