Katsy Borromeo may look too chic and sophisticated on screen. But if you would look at her off cam, you will discover that this stylish Real Access VJ is also bubbly and free spirited – attitudes that best portrays a real Cebuana. Aside from putting smiles on Cebuano viewers' faces every time she appears on screen, this 25-year old stunner also helps dressing up fashion conscious clients as the Assisting Manager for Jun Escario.
Her TV career started rolling when her friend Lorie brought her to RCTV for a simple VTR and a trial shoot. And from then on, she has become one of the channel's premiere VJs. Katsy's passion for her work in Real Cebu Television is intense enough to make her stay in the company for more than five years now. She says that one of her most memorable moments in RCTV is water rafting and her other sporty adventures while shooting Real Access in Cagayan. Aside from travel and meeting people, Katsy proudly announces that her job opens doors for thrilling and sometimes once in a lifetime experiences.
But her career contentment doesn't just end in being a VJ and dressing up clients. She dreams of hosting a cause oriented show that promotes advocacies and charity, a show that will display Cebuano's big hearts and enthusiasm to lend helping hands.
What makes you proud as a Cebuana? Ask her that question and she would enumerate pompously, “Our cheerful disposition, our resilience, our humility, our creativity , our being laid back while being driven at the same time.”
Katsy admits that she is a perpetually tanned sun-loving beach bum. If you don't see her on TV and in Jun Escario's fashion house, she is probably eating somewhere, engaging in long and lasting conversation, laughing out loud about the silliest things, cuddling with her dog, spending time with her baby nephews, and styling her personal clothes. Indeed, Katsy is a pretty face with simple joys.
