RCTV Bio
If there is a show who has witnessed the humble beginnings of RCTV, that would definitely be Tech Island. Ryan Yu, the producer and host of the show, has been part of the RCTV family ever since it began. The conceptualization of the show started out as a small project between Ryan and the RCTV owners. Now, it has become Cebu's very own tech show where people in the local technology arena has come to look up to Ryan as some sort of a Tech Expert. Of course, the humble Cebuano that he is, he would never really admit that.
Ryan knows how challenging it is to be producing and hosting a show and he even considers getting his first sponsor for the show as one of his memoable experiences. Ofcourse, one of his favorite memories also on the show was when Tech Island had their first mascott, a bearded dragon named Cheecha.
Because the show brings him closer to the people of Cebu, all the hardwork he has given to the show has definitely paid off for him. Ryan is proud to be a Cebuano because of our Catholic roots which always keeps us humble. He also says that just like being proud to be Cebuano, he also also proud to be an RCTV talent. “I'm proud because RCTV is the first Cebuano Channel and even if the others have already stumbled down, RCTV is still standing after five years (and counting).”
